Mission Moments

Because they're family.

Check out some stories from our hospital of the pets and families that we've helped thanks to the generosity of our community.

Lola was just eight months old when she became very sick with vomiting and diarrhea. Her family took her to an emergency veterinary hospital, where she was diagnosed with parvovirus. The cost of treatment was too high for her family, but they found Mission Animal Hospital. Thanks to our Spectrum of Care Medicine, Lola received an outpatient treatment protocol developed by Colorado State University. This affordable option allowed Lola to recover fully. Now, she's back to her energetic, playful self!

Milo came to Mission Animal Hospital after a house fire. His family had escaped, but Milo was missing. After days of searching, Milo returned home but was in pain and unable to urinate. Diagnosed with a urinary blockage, he needed urgent care. The emergency vet costs were too high for his family, who had lost everything. Thankfully, Mission Animal Hospital provided the life-saving care he needed through our donor-subsidized Mission Program. Milo has recovered well and is back to his sweet and spunky self, bringing joy to his grateful family.

Chuck came to Mission Animal Hospital after eating a sock and needed emergency, life-saving surgery. Our veterinary staff performed same-day surgery to remove the sock, and now Chuck is happy and healthy, living his best life with his family.

George, a 13-year-old cat, had a tough life before finding a loving home with Gail. When he fell ill, Gail was deeply concerned. She found Mission Animal Hospital’s Urgent Care online and brought George in, hoping for answers. Thanks to support from generous donors, George received the fluids and medication he needed. Now, George is back to his playful, affectionate self, and Gail couldn't be more grateful for the care they received at Mission Animal Hospital.

Serena, a lovable 4-year-old Frenchie, came to Mission Animal Hospital with a life-threatening condition—pyometra, a severe infection of the uterus. Without urgent care, her health was at serious risk. Thankfully, our team performed an emergency spay to remove the infection, and Serena’s surgery went smoothly. Serena is now on the road to a healthy, happy life!

Blueberry is a sweet boy who came to Mission Animal Hospital with a urinary obstruction, a serious and life-threatening condition. Common symptoms include straining to urinate, blood in the urine, and discomfort. Many families struggle with the high cost of treatment, but Mission Animal Hospital makes care accessible with our layered accessibility measures. Blueberry spent several days with us, and our staff adored him. Now, he's happy and healthy at home with his loving family.
